BWebstream Exchange: changing the way we communicate

As technology continues to change the way we live and work, a core element of our service offerings is online access via the internet. BWebstream is our secure, easy to use, fully-integrated online platform for pension schemes, giving exceptional control over administration. Lisa Hodge from the Public Sector Consulting team tells us how they have been using the tool.
BWebstream provides access for clients to our bespoke, integrated tools developed specifically for our joint requirements to ensure clients’ needs are met in the most efficient way. BWebstream Exchange is the latest module, which easily facilitates the electronic transfer of data and messages securely over an encrypted web portal whilst aiding task management. As the system falls under the BWebstream umbrella, it can be accessed alongside our other online tools with the same log in details.
"What I like is that it keeps our correspondence separate from my often cluttered inbox. It also removes the possibility of accidentally sending sensitive data in an unencrypted email."
BWebstream Exchange enables all the work relating to a task to be centrally managed which will provide efficient and cost effective communications. As well as providing a complete audit trail, it also links to the internal Barnett Waddingham task management system to enable clients to track workflow and to see the current status of each piece of work and any deadlines being worked to.
"It is helpful to have a system that keeps correspondence from the actuary in one place so any user can log on and see current conversations and tasks. The shading of unread messages is clear and avoids something being missed. Being able to direct a conversation at an individual is also very useful."
BWebstream Exchange was launched to Public Sector clients last year. Using Exchange has enabled our clients to manage their workflow which has been particularly useful where users are not based in the same office or building. All users can effortlessly check the progress of a piece of work, access documents and communicate with the team whether they are working in the office, at home or on the go.
Since the launch we have worked closely with internal and external users to develop BWebstream Exchange into an invaluable tool that is changing the way we communicate, exchange data and manage workflow with our clients. With continued development we are excited to see what the future holds for BWebstream Exchange.
With GDPR having required almost all organisations to review their data protection policies, data security is now more important – and more widely understood – than ever. BWebstream Exchange has been set up with GDPR requirements in mind. We are keen to promote the use of BWebstream Exchange so that Fund administrators can exchange information and data with us securely, confidentially and without the need to password protect it.
BWebstream Exchange is going to be a key part of the sharing of data and information with our Funds for the 2019 actuarial valuations of the English and Welsh LGPS Funds.
