Ian focuses on larger and more complex SSAS cases, in particular those requiring guidance in areas with demanding technical issues.
His years of specialism make him a primary contact for those SSAS cases needing resolution of problematic situations, where advice is required for trustees and employers in complex cases, where we provide guidance on the design of retirement benefits for members, and helping find solutions to esoteric investment queries.
Ian graduated from Exeter University with a degree in Law in 1990 and joined Barnett Waddingham’s SSAS practice in 1998. Ian is a fellow of the Pensions Management Institute and was made a partner at Barnett Waddingham in 2013.
Outside work Ian spends his time cooking, gardening, and watching cricket. Thankfully he has stopped playing.
