Rosie is an actuary, specialising in pension scheme de-risking, predominately focusing on the bulk annuity market.

Rosie’s first hand insurer experience allows her to provide advice on how to get the best from insurers. In particular, she understands the challenges insurers can face and so is well placed to find practical ways forwards. Having managed large, small, simple and complex transaction executions, her project management skills are exceptional meaning that she can help schemes and sponsors grasp opportunities when they arise and ultimately achieve their objectives.

She has helped a wide variety of schemes and sponsors complete bulk annuity transactions, with over 15 years’ experience in this space. She volunteers with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in different capacities.


Significant experience

  • Works with clients large and small in different circumstances to achieve pension risk transfer transactions.
  • Led the £440bn P&O and £850m Arcadia transactions in 2023.  Previously led the Old British Steel Scheme’s £2bn buy-out, and advised Pernod Ricard on £3.5bn buy-in and continues to support post-transaction activities for this case.
  • Shortlisted for Adviser of the Year 2021 and 2023 Professional Pensions Women in Pensions Awards.
  • Previously a Senior Manager at Scottish Widows where she was a founding member of their bulk annuity business, writing c.£4bn during her tenure.
