Simon is a Senior Pension Management Consultant based in our Liverpool office. He has a wealth of experience in providing secretarial, governance and non-actuarial consulting services to trustees of UK occupational pension schemes.

As well as his client management work, Simon also has extensive administration and operational management experience in the TPA sector. Simon has worked with trustees of defined benefit, defined contribution, and hybrid schemes and has experience of developing long-term relationships with trustees and other advisers.

Significant experience

  • providing senior project management support to one of the UK’s largest private sector DB pension schemes
  • secretarial and governance services for occupational pension scheme clients
  • developing long-term relationships with all stakeholders
  • drafting and reviewing member communications

Career

Simon has spent his entire career in pensions since leaving school in the early 1990s. He qualified as an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute in 2002 and became a Fellow in 2012.  Simon joined Barnett Waddingham in May 2017.

Interests

Outside work, Simon’s life revolves around his family.  With two young boys, there isn’t a great deal of spare time, but when there is, Simon likes nothing more than going out for long rides on his motorbike.  More recently, Simon has taken up strongman training and most weekends are now spent lifting Atlas Stones or attempting car deadlifts!
