Last night saw triple success for Barnett Waddingham at the Professional Pension's Rising Star Awards across both individual and business categories.

The awards, which not only provide a platform for recognising emerging talent, but also those who support their development, saw us win two awards and take home a ‘highly commended’ accolades, recognising both individual and organisational successes.

Firstly, we were presented 'Training Scheme of the Year', with the judges highlighting our training framework that encourages learning and development across our all levels of our organisation. Our approach to L&D was further recognised with a ‘Highly Commended’ nod in the 'Award for Supporting Development' category.

"From mentoring and coaching of those just starting out, through to leadership development schemes for senior management, our framework encourages growth and provides a platform for future succession, inspiring everyone to thrive in their BW journey."
Jacqui Derrick Head of HR, Barnett Waddingham

Keeping the spotlight on our commitment to development, one of our own was also championed on the night, as Leanne Carpenter took home the award for 'Actuarial/Advisory Trainee of the Year'. Speaking on her success, Leanne said, "I am honoured to have been recognised with this award."

"Since joining BW I have felt supported and have been given a variety of new opportunities to develop in areas that interest me. This really is a testament to the culture here at BW."
Leanne Carpenter Consulting Actuary, Barnett Waddingham
