Alison manages a portfolio of Small Self-Administered Schemes (SSASs) located across the UK, providing a cradle to grave service.

She currently works primarily with practitioner-only schemes where the trustees do not wish to appoint a Professional Trustee but require guidance on SSAS legislation and advice and assistance with fulfilling their obligations to the scheme as Scheme Administrator.

Significant experience:

  • providing excellent administration services to existing SSAS clients
  • setting up new schemes and taking on existing schemes
  • providing advice/guidance on pension legislation
  • scheme wind-up’s, divorce and transfers
  • pension benefits

Career

Alison started working in the pensions industry in 1995, whilst completing a graduate trainee programme with Refuge Assurance.

Alison qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Industry in 1997.

She started working with SIPP/SSAS clients in 2004 and joined Barnett Waddingham in 2015 following the acquisition of the Rathbone SSAS business.

Interests

Alison’s interests outside of work are spending time with her children, family and friends.

She is secretary of the local swimming club where her children are members and regularly helps out at events.
