Anne Lynch APMI

Associate and Senior Pension Management Consultant

Anne is a senior pension management consultant and is one of the secretarial and governance specialists within the pensions executive and management services team.

Anne joined Barnett Waddingham in January 2020 having previously worked for an independent professional trustee. She has worked in pensions since 2010, beginning her pensions career as a defined contribution scheme administrator, before moving into defined benefit consultancy and trustee services. Currently Anne is leading a team of governance specialists providing services to BW clients.

Anne’s communication and organisational skills ensure she develops strong relationships - she has built a reputation for bringing a calm and measured approach to her work.

Anne has experience in providing governance and secretarial services to trustee boards, including managing the trustee meeting cycle, governance documents, instructing advisers, maintaining budgets and controlling adviser spend, leading tender exercises and ensuring that decisions are taken in line with governance procedures. Anne has also provided specific governance advice and training on trustee effectiveness, cyber security and the regulator’s General Code.

Anne is currently working within teams providing secretarial and governance services for some of BW’s larger clients of £1bn+ assets. Anne has also provided input on governance projects and new business proposals. 


Significant experience

  • Supervising teams providing secretarial and governance services to schemes with assets ranging from c£600m to over £1bn.
  • Risk management, including cyber security, GDPR and risk register reviews.
  • Financial management and scheme budgets.
  • Experience in assisting trustees navigate their governance strategy and the General Code.
