Richard engages with key accounts to maximise profitable SIPP business. He works with internal stakeholders to ensure good quality service and best customer outcomes.

Richard's day-to-day can involve face to face meetings, seminars, meetings over Teams/Zoom, technical updates and phone calls.

Richard's main area of expertise are SIPP, drawdown, transfers, and investment options.

Career

Richard started out in the world of financial services way back in the 20th Century. He worked in admin and support and dealt with everything from annuity quotes, mortgage applications and group pension set-ups to making the tea. He worked his way up to business development manager. He was at Sun Life and Axa for over 20 years, then had a few years working at Chase de Vere, before joining Barnett Waddingham.

Interests

Richard enjoys spending time with his wife and two (nearly) grown-up children. He sings in a Ska band and loves performing at gigs a couple of times a month. He likes going on walks with his dog and generally keeping fit, to counterbalance his love of beer, wine and good food! He enjoys most sports but football is top of the list.
